FedDev Ontario

FedDev Ontario works to create opportunities for economic growth in southern Ontario by helping businesses become more competitive, innovative and productive. The agency also works with southern Ontario communities to develop and diversify local economies.

FedDev Ontario is assisting with Regional Relief and Recovery Fund support during COVID-19. They also have funding streams for:

• Business scale-up and productivity
• Community economic development and diversification
• Regional innovation ecosystem

Province of Ontario

The Ontario provincial government offers financial assistance programs targeted toward business development, including small business funding options, such as:

• Digital Main Street Ontario - helping main street businesses adopt new technologies and build an online presence
• Canada-Ontario Job Grant - get up to $10,000 per employee for training costs for current and future employees
• Indigenous Economic Development Fund - grants and financing for Indigenous businesses, communities and organizations

The Province also offers:

• Funding programs for Ontario's rural communities and agri-food sector
• Grants and award opportunities for the heritage, sport, tourism and culture industries
